Chinese New Years Celebration

February 16, 2018 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Paradise Valley Elementary School first graders perform their Chinese New Year program “The Rooster’s Lament” on Friday afternoon, Jan. 27, 2017 in west Casper. Paradise Valley’s dual language immersion program began in the fall of 2014 and is now offered to students in kindergarten through fourth grade.

We have teamed with the Paradise Valley Elementary School DLI students to host a Chinese New Years Celebration on the 16th!

Join The NIC and Paradise Valley Elementary School for a Chinese New Year Celebration. The Year of the Dog will be celebrated on February 16th at The NIC with a cultural presentation from a Chinese teacher from the Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program, a narrated musical story performed by the 4th grade students, traditional Chinese crafts in The NIC’s Discovery Center, and food/beverages. There will also be art for sale that was created and donated by 4th grade students at Paradise Valley Elementary School for sale in our Rosenthal Gallery to help raise funds for their trip to China during their 5th grade year.

The celebration is from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 at The NIC.

Entrance fee is $5 per person (ages 2 & younger free).
FREE to members of The NIC. Proceeds will go toward the DLI China trip and The NIC.

Food and beverage will be available on-site for purchase. Special thanks to Top of the Class Rentals and Casper College for sponsoring this cultural event.
