Jewelry Making Workshop - with Cynthia Grieve

Fees: $25 (member) and $35 (non-member).  All materials and tools are included!

Class Description:  Celebrate International Women Day by treating yourself to a fun time at The NIC! We will work with fresh water pearls and copper wire to create unique, wearable art. We will learn basic jewelry making techniques including forming, wire wrapping and assembling. Don’t miss this joyful evening with friends, wine (BYOB) and access to tools and materials to create beautiful jewelry for yourself or others. All levels of experience welcome.

Pysanky Easter Egg Workshop - with Lisa McDonald

Ages:  10 and up (children under 14 must have an adult with them)

Fees:  $20.00 (members) and $30.00 (non-members) per participating child/adult.

Class Description:  Learn the art of Pysanky and create your own beautiful keepsake! Pysanky are Ukrainian Easter eggs, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method. The instructor will explain Ukrainian Easter traditions and demonstrate each step of the art project. This workshop is perfect for beginners and experts alike! All materials are included!  Lisa McDonald is an expert in Ukrainian Folklore and has been teaching Pysanky design for over 30 years.

Mother's Day Family Workshop
