
Children participating in camp are required to follow the CDC recommendations such as hand washing, social distancing, and wearing face masks. The NIC’s staff reserves the right to send the child home if s/he is not following the above named guidelines or exhibits COVID19 symptoms such as coughing, sneezing and/or high temperature. The camps fees will not be reimbursed in case of failure to follow the guidelines or exhibiting COVID19 symptoms.

Camp description: From pterodactyls to Da Vinci inventions this camp will explore things that fly. Discover the secret of butterflies’ huge wings and why hot air balloons could fly. Invent your own flying object, create an air balloon inspired art, build a pterodactyl sculpture, draw insects’ wings, and more.

Camp description: Dive into architectural and design topics through art projects and building activities. Draw an inspiration from the history, museum exhibitions and your imagination while exploring an architecture of living and working spaces. Make and read blueprints, solve engineering challenges, design and build miniature houses, miniature roller coasters and more.

Camp description: Congratulations! You’ve been chosen to join our Wizarding Academy where the greatest magic happens. Inspired by popular movies such as Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, and The Wizard of Oz, campers will practice their creativity and discover the magic in art. We will work with clay, paint and mixed media while exploring magical creatures and dabbling in the wizarding world.
ADVENTURES IN POTTERY

Camp description: Squish it, roll it, and mold it! Learn basic skills of working with clay and make unique creations inspired by food, animals, nature and your imagination. Explore a variety of clays, including paper clay, polymer clay and low-fire clay. Make ceramic bowls, masks, clay food trinkets, animal sculptures, and more. Projects that are fired will be available for pickup three to four weeks after camp.
STREET ART AND GRAFFITI

Camp description: Review the history and rules of graffiti with local street artist Rugiewhile discovering your personal styles of expression. Experiment with various techniques such as stenciling and tagging and develop control while painting with spray paint. Students will design and create a large-scale graffiti mural! Camp description: Horror is an exciting genre that never goes out of fashion. Explore the origins of horror literature, film, and visual art! Survey the leading artists of this genre and create art inspired by Tim Burton’s characters. Learn about horror movies, special effects and practice gruesome make-up. Write a horror script and shoot your own scary movie. Scared? We hope so!

Camp description: Explore all things anime and manga. Trace the origins of manga drawing and anime films and discuss the impact this art form has on our culture today. Learn the basics of figure drawing and manga techniques, practice your character development, invent a story to “animate” your own character, and create other art projects inspired by anime.

Camp description: Immerse into messy art and icky science this summer! Investigate messy volcanic explosions and geysers, the chemistry of solvents, the icky science of slime and snot, and learn about the beauty and danger of microbes. Create gross eyeball art, get messy with egg throw painting, build a jellyfish sculpture and design your own pathogen.
