Evening Expressions: Family Workshop Series

Dates: October 3, 17, 24, and November 7 from 5:30-7:30 pm

Cost: $60 for members and $80 for not-yet-members or $75 (M) – $95 (NM) for the family to join!

Location: Nicolaysen Art Museum

Family Game Night

In this 4th and final session of Evening Expressions, we’re making it all about the family game night! Take the time to connect and create art as a family. We will create games and toys you can enjoy together for years to come. You will also be pleased to know that you created something fun and useful together!

Week 1: October 3 – Ceramic Tic Tac Toe Boards — Create a one of a one-of-a-kind tic tac toe game using our low-fire earthenware clay. We’ll give you step-by-step instructions on how to create your version of this classic game. We’ll even fire it for you and you can pick it up at the next class.

Week 2: October 17 – Create a Monster — Kids can design a monster and parents will help make it come to life! Some basic hand sewing will be required, but our instructors are happy to help if needed. You will take home a one-of-a-kind monster stuffy created by you!

Week 3: October 24 – Paint a Puzzle & Fishing — Draw and then paint a custom wooden puzzle. Puzzles are approximately 9×11 inches with 24 pieces. Includes a base for your puzzle. Take it home for display or put it together again and again! We will also be creating a magnetic fishing game. Catch fish in your living room with this fun and easy homemade game.

Week 4: November 7 – Bean Bag Toss — Choose your material and create 4 bean bags and a custom board. Perfect for a little indoor game of bean bag toss! Some light hand sewing is required, but instructors are here to help.
