Lunch ‘n Learn! 🍕💡Tuesday, November 22nd, from 12 PM – 1 PM.
Join us for food, fun, and a tour of Wyoming’s rich LGBTQ+ art scene! Learn about bookmaking, interviews, layout, and queer art! Local Gwyn Uttmark – a local artist – will be talking about their interviews and archival work focusing on LGBTQ+ art in Wyoming. Space is limited! Please RSVP at the NIC or call the NIC at 235-5247. Lunch is BYO (Bring Your Own)!
Uttmark’s project is an oral history of artists in Wyoming who are LGBTQ+, an investigation of what it means to be queer and rural, and a beacon of hope for LGBTQ+ Wyomingites of the future. This project is generously supported by the Wyoming Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Gwyn Uttmark is a 24-year-old artist and researcher from Casper. Their work, artistic and scientific, focuses on the health and equity of trans, gender non-conforming, and queer folks. Right now they’re interviewing artists across Wyoming and studying at the Stanford School of Medicine.
