“Fours years of flowers is a series of paintings I started in 2017 as a response to the 2016 presidential election. I will continue to paint these flowers throughout President Trump’s term as a way to ‘grow through’ the ugliness and division our nation has faced since that election.
Traditionally flowers are given to both those who are celebrating and those who are grieving. The idea behind this series is to use floral themed paintings as a way to react to current events as well as to express raw emotion.”
