The Indigenous connection to the Earth extends to all creatures. Animals are figures of our stories and help us thrive. They are central to our cultures and are respected as family. The four-legged, the winged, those that swim, crawl or fly; we refer to them as our Brothers and Sisters. We are proud to open Wyomingʼs first ever art exhibit featuring Indigenous artists depicting the animals they are connected to. This groundbreaking show emphasizes the tribal importance of animals in all of our lives and underscores their importance to historical and contemporary Indigenous communities in and around Wyoming.
