ABOUT THE ARTIST
Marge McCrea has lived in Wyoming for 30 years, 20 of those in the Red Desert. All of those years as an artist, art educator, and now as a gallery owner. The mediums McCrea works in are mostly acrylic paint, clay, and photography.
FROM THE ARTIST
This collection of paintings, landscapes of heighten color and form, inspired by the Red Desert I live in. I am inspired by the unfenced, untamed open space, beautiful and tough yet fragile and easily spoiled. Some pieces are worked on location to capture the mystery as only paint and pencil can.
Created not only from the observable landscape, but from memories, imagination, and vision, serves to connect with the viewer’s own thoughts.
