Art Studio

Third Saturdays of Every Month: 12:00-2:30 p.m.

(September – May)

Ages: 6 – 10th grades

Fees: $15 (members) and $25 (non-members) per student per class.

Description:

Discover, question, and solve problems as you create and interact with art in the museum exhibitions and collections. Learn skills and techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. All skill levels are welcome

First Saturdays — students will participate in teacher’s led project customary for a traditional classroom.

Third Saturdays — a Choice-Based Art class / Independent Art Studio. Choice-Based Art classrooms are working studios where students learn through authentic art making. Control shifts from teacher to learner as students explore ideas and interests in art media of their choice. This concept supports multiple modes of learning, allows students to grow at their own pace, and gives them the opportunity to respond to their own ideas. Students will gain a wide range of knowledge and skills while creating deeply personal artwork.

Pre-registration is encouraged. All supplies are included.
