Women in Wyoming- Lindsay Linton Buk:
Through medium format film photography and podcast interviews, Women in Wyoming presents a powerful collective of contemporary female role models, from politicians, ranchers, authors, business-women and community stewards. By illuminating the power of women through art and media, Women in Wyoming is dedicated to pioneering a platform to promote the integrity, diversity, and profound legacy of women and girls in Wyoming and across the West.
Back to the Drawing Board- Eileen Nistler:
Inspired by the works of artists like Rubens and Caravaggio, Nistler’s immaculate still lifes use extreme value (lightness and darkness) not only to create drama, but to spotlight the subjects as if they are characters in a play. Her use of colored pencil allows for a precision that needs to be seen to be believed.
Inspired Imagery- The Casper Photography Association
The Casper Photography Association is central Wyoming’s premier organization for professional, amateur, hobbyist and beginning photographers using all types of cameras: digital, film, point and shoot and even cell phone cameras. The Association is dedicated to providing opportunities for area photographers to learn, network and enjoy a variety of events and field trips designed to maximize both the enjoyment and craft of photography.
The reception will take place on April 19 from 5:30 to 7:30PM. Admission is free for NIC and $5 for individual non-members/$10 for families.
